José Mourinho says Real Madrid midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni have moved on from a disagreement that occurred last season.
A fresh start for the midfielders
Mourinho explained that he deliberately treated the episode as the beginning of a new chapter rather than continuing to focus on the players’ earlier dispute.
- He chose to give Valverde and Tchouaméni a clean slate.
- He has monitored their relationship on a daily basis and believes there is no reason to remain preoccupied with last season’s events.
“I decided they should begin again from zero,” Mourinho said. “Given what I see between them every day, it is impossible to keep thinking about what happened last season.”
Relationship unaffected by incident
The Portuguese manager characterised the incident as a normal occurrence and stressed that the two midfielders are still close.
“It was something ordinary. They are very good friends, and it feels like nothing happened,” he added.
Focus returns to Real Madrid duties
Mourinho’s assessment indicates that the disagreement has not damaged the bond between Valverde and Tchouaméni. Both players have now turned their attention to their respective responsibilities at Real Madrid.
