Twenty-five elite-level coaches in Nigeria have begun an intensive CAF A-License programme combining classroom theory with practical sessions in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The two-part course represents Nigeria’s return to the CAF A-License Convention and is the first CAF A-License programme staged in the country for nine years. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has, however, continued to run D-, C- and B-License coaching programmes, as well as a women-only CAF C-License course delivered in three modules across three months in 2025.
Those taking part include coaches from Nigeria’s national teams, along with managers from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) clubs.
The second and final module is scheduled to take place next month.
NFF Acting General Secretary Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme is due to formally open the five-day first module on Wednesday.
