
Nigeria’s under-18 men’s volleyball side are set to take on the hosts, Egypt, in a decisive Group A clash today at the 2026 CAVB U-18 African Nations Volleyball Championship in Alexandria.
Both teams began the tournament in strong fashion, each winning in straight sets. Nigeria overcame Morocco 3-0, while Egypt followed suit with a 3-0 triumph over Burundi.
The result of today’s meeting will be a major step toward qualification for the knockout stage, with the winner edging closer to securing a place in the next round.
In the boys’ competition’s Group B, Cameroon will aim to respond after suffering a 3-1 defeat in their first match against Tunisia when they play Libya.
In the girls’ event, Tunisia will meet Cameroon, while Senegal take on Algeria as teams continue their bid to earn spots in the knockout rounds.
