
Nigeria will field three athletes at the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels this weekend, with Tobi Amusan, Ezekiel Nathaniel and Kayinsola Ajayi facing a high-level international line-up.

The two-day meeting will take place at Brussels’ King Baudouin Stadium, or Allianz Memorial Van Damme, on September 4 and 5. It will bring together the strongest performers from the Diamond League season for the year’s final major showdown.
Amusan will lead Nigeria’s challenge in the women’s 100m hurdles. The Nigerian is aiming to end her campaign strongly after spending much of the season behind Masai Russels of the United States.
Nathaniel is also set for the Belgian finale after producing an impressive year in the men’s 400m hurdles. He will look to deliver another notable display against a field packed with elite opposition.
Ajayi rounds out the Nigerian team in the men’s 100m. He has established himself as one of the country’s leading sprinters.
The trio’s qualification ensures Nigerian representation in both sprint and hurdles events as the athletics spotlight shifts to Brussels for the decisive Diamond League meeting of the year.
