The second Nigerian Universal Keystone Sports Awards (NUKSA) ceremony is scheduled for 3 September 2026 at Ham Polo Club in Richmond, London, with prominent representatives of sport, public administration and commerce from Nigeria and the United Kingdom set to be recognised.
The event follows the inaugural awards held last year. Its organisers intend to continue celebrating people and institutions whose work has strengthened sport and expanded its influence in both nations.
Among those due to receive honours are Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, Kwara State First Lady Professor Olufolake Abdulrazaq and Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. Other notable guests from the sporting and business communities will also attend.
NUKSA founder David Doherty said the programme was created to salute individuals who have enhanced Nigeria’s and Britain’s standing through sport and business. He described the awards as an expression of appreciation to the recipients.
Director of Media Gabriel Olu Omoogun said preparations were focused on delivering the organisation’s most successful ceremony so far, adding that the team was eager to welcome attendees from Nigeria and the UK to Richmond.
Honours will be handed out in several categories, including Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, Breakout Star, Naija Spirit Award and the Women in Sports Initiative Award.
