Super Eagles goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo’s position at Wrexham has become uncertain after he reportedly slipped down the Championship side’s hierarchy.
The 24-year-old is thought to be weighing a departure in pursuit of consistent senior football. A temporary move may be complicated by his reported salary, however, as potential suitors would need to assess the cost of taking him on loan.
Derby County and Charlton Athletic are understood to have expressed an interest in the former Arsenal goalkeeper, but neither club has reached a confirmed agreement for his signature.
Okonkwo became a permanent Wrexham player after first representing the club on loan from Arsenal. He was also officially included in Wrexham’s senior squad for the 2025/26 Championship season.
