
Oga Sammy Media Productions staged its annual Community Shield Watch Party on Sunday, August 16, with the gathering serving as the company’s second event of the year and the customary unofficial launch of the football season in England and worldwide.
Arsenal victory highlights Port Harcourt gathering
- The programme took place at Garden City Hotels, 312 Woji Road, Port Harcourt, where dignitaries from different sectors met to socialise and watch Arsenal defeat Manchester City 3-0 in a lively setting filled with excitement, drama and celebration.
- Guests also received cash rewards and other prizes valued at millions of naira, while Aremu David claimed the top award of ₦1 million.

BetKing and Sanlam Allianz were the event’s principal sponsors, reflecting Oga Sammy Media Productions’ goal of establishing itself as a leading force in Nigeria’s sports and entertainment industry.
BetKing operates as a sports-gaming business under SV Gaming Limited and holds certification from the Lagos State Lottery Board. Its services are designed to offer gaming and trading platforms to customers and agents across Nigeria, while also generating wider economic opportunities beyond conventional employment.
Sanlam Allianz is a pan-African financial-services partnership outside the banking sector. It was created in September 2023 through the alliance between South Africa’s Sanlam Group and Germany’s Allianz SE. The joint venture operates in 27 African nations, delivering life, health and general insurance by pairing regional knowledge with international technical standards.
