The situation around Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi’s spell at Turkish powerhouse Beşiktaş has grown more complicated, with an unidentified club from Saudi Arabia reportedly raising its offer for the experienced holding midfielder.
Fotomaç reports that the Saudi side have submitted a fresh, official bid to Beşiktaş, effectively doubling their previous valuation of Ndidi in an attempt to force a breakthrough.
With the new offer now in play, the report adds that Beşiktaş’s decision-makers are set to hold discussions with their incoming coaching staff, with Vincenzo Italiano identified as the new head coach involved in those plans.
Ndidi moved to Beşiktaş last season, arriving from English club Leicester City.
However, his current availability has been limited by injury. As a result, he missed a UEFA Europa League qualifying match against Denmark’s FC Midtjylland.
