
Sunday Dare, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, will attend the Nigeria National League’s Annual General Meeting on Friday, August 21, at Rockview Hotel in Owerri, giving the event an added boost.
Dare confirms Owerri attendance
Dare, who previously served as Minister of Youth and Sports and remains an active supporter of Nigerian sport, confirmed on Wednesday that he would travel to Owerri for the gathering.
- He said his presence would be aimed at backing the NNL.
- He praised George Aluo and the league’s team for the work they are doing.
“I will be in Owerri to support the NNL, where George Aluo and his team are doing a great job,” Dare said.
Commendation for Imo State’s sports investment
The Ogbomosho chief and communications specialist also applauded Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma for placing sport among the areas receiving attention from his administration.
Dare described Uzodimma as both a friend and a brother, saying the governor was performing strongly across all sectors and had shown particular commitment to sports.
“My friend and brother, His Excellency Hope Uzodimma, is doing well on all fronts,” Dare said. “He is paying proper attention to every sector, including sports. I was recently in Imo State, and anyone who visits cannot fail to commend the governor.”
