Abdulmuiz Adeleke, Oraro Lucky and Odinaka Alfred have secured places in the official WAFU B U20 Team of the Tournament.
The Nigeria Flying Eagles players were chosen by the Technical Study Group (TSG), even though Burkina Faso ended Nigeria’s title hopes with a 4-1 victory in the final.
The tournament selection uses a 4-4-2 system, while Burkina Faso head coach Oscar Barro received the Coach of the Tournament award after leading his side to the championship.
The TSG said its selections were based on sustained performances, dedication and decisive contributions at important stages of the competition.
Adeleke, Lucky and Alfred’s recognition underlines the strength of the Flying Eagles squad, despite Nigeria falling short of winning the tournament.
