Trabzonspor are weighing up a potential deal for Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro after receiving a recommendation from former Super Eagles forward Anthony Nwakaeme.
Recommendation behind the interest
Turkish outlet Posta reports that Nwakaeme has pointed Trabzonspor toward Akinsanmiro, suggesting him as a suitable option in the middle of the park.
The former international’s view is that the player could help address a specific need created by the departure of Côte d’Ivoire international Christ Inao Oulai.
Why Akinsanmiro is seen as a fit
Posta states that the recommendation was linked to Oulai’s switch to Fiorentina, with Akinsanmiro proposed as a replacement for the Ivorian.
- Akinsanmiro is currently associated with Inter Milan.
- He spent the previous season on loan at Pisa SC.
- Nwakaeme’s suggestion frames the move as a direct response to Oulai’s transfer to Fiorentina.
Player profile and market valuation
Akinsanmiro, who made his debut for the Super Eagles earlier this year, is valued at roughly €10 million.
He is also viewed as one of Nigeria’s standout young midfield talents, with Trabzonspor looking at him as a long-term prospect as well as a short-term option.
