Trabzonspor have reportedly placed a €30 million valuation on Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu as interest from Saudi Arabia intensifies.
The striker made his return to the Turkish side on a permanent basis last summer, following an impressive loan stint from Southampton in the 2023-24 campaign.
Onuachu, now 32, delivered an exceptional season by finding the net 26 times across all competitions. His 22 goals in the league also earned him a share of the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot alongside Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.
Yet despite those numbers, questions continue to surround his situation at Trabzonspor with the transfer window approaching its closing stages.
The club are understood to be prepared to listen to offers for the Nigeria international, provided their €30 million price is met.
Al Ahli are reportedly one of the strongest candidates to sign him, and additional negotiations between the Saudi Pro League outfit and Trabzonspor are expected.
Onuachu is believed to be receptive to the possibility of moving, although a deal can only progress if the interested party satisfies Trabzonspor’s financial requirements.
Trabzonspor had previously insisted that their top scorer was not for sale and are reported to have turned down two proposals for his services.
That stance may soften if the Turkish club secure the signing of former Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal.
Bringing in such a prominent replacement could give Trabzonspor greater confidence in approving Onuachu’s departure.
Al Hilal may also seek another centre-forward should reports of Karim Benzema potentially leaving the club prove accurate.
At present, Onuachu’s next move is still unresolved, with the reported €30 million demand remaining the key obstacle to his exit from Trabzonspor.
