Avon South Africa has announced that Pabi Moloi has just been signed on as Avon’s new local celebrity spokesperson and the Avon Justine iThemba Ambassador for a two year experience! After a thorough yet exciting interview process, Pabi has been appointed as the previous ambassador; Gerry Elsdon’s successor.

Pabi will officially begin her role in August 2012, and will address the Avon Justine staff and field as their new ambassador. This ambitious 20-something already has a wealth of broadcasting knowledge, including extensive experience in both radio and TV.

Pabi’s career started out in television at the age of four on a major youth literacy campaign for the organisation READ. She remained in front of the camera, memorably on K-TV and until she was 18-years-old, when she broke into radio by winning 94.7′s Hot Jocks talent search. She went on to host various regional and national radio shows before returning to Highveld as the youngest presenter in the week-day line-up with her 1pm to 4pm slot.

In addition to her radio work, Pabi still appears on our TV screens as host of Mzansi Magic’s glossy lifestyle show All Access Mzansi and for Vodacom Millionaires on SABC 1. Her presenting skills were showcased internationally as co-host of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Opening Concert broadcast for the BBC. 2011 saw Pabi hosting the ultimate hostess Oprah Winfrey at an O Magazine workshop. Pabi is continually involved in causes which aim to uplift the community and has recently launched her own foundation which highlights women’s and youth issues.

Part of her role as Avon’s spokesperson will be to assist in creating awareness regarding the Avon Justine iThemba Breast Cancer Crusade for Hope that is Avon’s corporate social responsibility initiative which aims to raise awareness and promote education regarding breast cancer, as well as Avon’s Violence Against Women. Pabi is widely loved and recognised face makes Avon very excited to welcome her into our family.
