Zalebrities came out in full force to the most premier sporting event, wearing eye-catching garments by South African designers.

I was fortunate enough to get a glimpse of our most loved South African zalebs at one of the most well-loved tents, the Sibaya Casino marquee. General manager Melville Vogel of Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom was a dashing host as usual, making sure everyone was well looked after as many zalebrities just wanted to chill and concentrate on enjoying the race day with family and friends .

Zalebs such as Miss South Africa Melinda Bam and Remona Moodley, businessmen, government dignitaries such as Vivian Reddy, Neil Tovey, Loretta Jacobus, Judge-president Vusi Shabalala and mayor of Tswane, Kgosientso Ramakgopa were just a few famous name-droppers that could be found having a ball of a time at the event.

The Vodacom tent saw the likes of Jo-Ann Strauss of Top Billing fame, who looked stunning in a gorgeous blue, yellow and red ensemble with matching hat, designed by the famous Gideon.

Another gorgeous Top Billing presenter, Jeannie D adorned a, white Gavin Rajah creation which I might add just covered the ‘bare necessities.’ She was doing a film shoot for Top Billing but took time out to meet and greet her adoring fans. Her dress strategically showed-off her curvaceous assets and was definitely a dress many admirers would remember. Watch out Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian, our own Jeannie D is definitely one hot celebrity who knows how to flaunt her assets.

It was also all eyes on the two most beautiful ladies in South Africa, Miss South Africa Melinda Bam showed off a sexy pink number designed by Gideon. It was wonderful to see the vivacious Bam enjoying herself after all the controversy surrounding her withdrawal from the Miss World Competition.

Equally stunning was her first princess Remona, who adorned an exquisite beige lace dress designed by KwaZulu-Natal designer, Haroun Hansrot. Hand-painted pattern flowers with sequinces and chiffon with embroidery was an excellent combination which showed-off Remona’s femininity.

Vodacom Bulls rugby,  Francois Hougaard, Chilliboy Ralepele, Wynand Olivier and Akona Ndungane, KZN Premier Zweli Mkhize, Zuraida Jardine were also spotted at the prestigious Vodacom Durban July.
