We can finally take a breather as the Euros break for two days until Saturday when the knockout phase begins. Mouthwatering fixtures are lined up but before then we’ll give you the best tips and predictions.
Does it get any better than this? Yes, it does! You can get a piece of this action with Gbets with as little as R20!

Wales vs Denmark

The Dragons have a real chance of getting into the quarters. Not that they’ll have it easy against Denmark. The Danes could easily be the pick here but Robert Page's team has the cutting edge. If Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale come out like they did against Turkey, they’ll be difficult to contain.

Denmark overcame two defeats to qualify. They not only count on technique and tactics but what Page terms “The not so good side of the game.” Plus, you can only ride your luck too far, so we expect Wales to progress with both teams to score.

Italy vs Austria

The Azzurri didn’t just bring fancy suits to the tournament. They also brought fancy football. The quick-paced passing, interchanging of player positions, intensity to win the ball back and narrow down opponent's spaces has seen them completely dominate play.

Austria has qualified for their first-ever knockout match in the Euros. David Alaba is their star man and Italy will be cautious. Odds favour Italy. They're unbeaten in their last 14 against them and in 30 games.  They've scored over 2.5 goals in two group games, conceded none and that is set to continue.

Netherlands vs Czech Republic

Czech Republic has been exciting to watch so far. No doubt that Patrik Schick has grabbed the headlines. It’s a team that might not have the quality of your France or Belgium but they are certainly up for a fight.

It’s not going to be easy for the Dutch but eventually, the quality that Frank De Boer has will trump the day. With a perfect record and barring defensive lapses - like the one against Ukraine, it’s a team that could go all the way. So both sides to score with over 2.5 goals and just to add a little icing on the cake Gbets is currently offering 100% of your deposit match up to R1000! if you sign up now!

Belgium vs Portugal

This is the staff of dreams, isn’t it? Portugal conceded four against Germany and two against France suggesting they struggle against the “bigger sides”. Belgium have only conceded one goal, their backline has looked shaky but they are going in with a perfect record.

We reckon Portugal will be conservative and play on the counter. It’s frankly a tie that either team could win. We expect goals galore here with Lukaku and Ronaldo on either end. Both teams have netted at least two goals in their last four games so we expect both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.

Croatia vs Spain

These are two teams who have struggled to find their footing. Spain’s Achilles heel has been to convert possession and chances. If they'll be decisive in front of goal as they were against Slovakia, they go through. For their difficulties in scoring, we predict under 2.5 goals.

How Croatia will pull out another huge victory only Zlatko Dalic knows. They have been sub par; very slow and passive allowing opponents to dominate them. Luka Modric is the spark. He did it against Scotland but we don’t think the team possesses enough threat to go past Spain.

England vs Germany

Joachim Löw's Germany has not been convincing but that comeback against Portugal shows a different side to Germany. Defense is an obvious issue with their Highline approach. With players like Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount England will definitely look to exploit the space in behind.

England finished top of the group but their performances have not been up to scratch with only two goals. Historically, the Germans have the edge but little separates the two. England plays in front of a home crowd at Wembley that's a boost. Expect a close game. Over 2.5 goals. Both sides to score. German win.

Sweden vs Ukraine

Sweden have really given a good account of themselves but we tip a Ukrainian win. Ukraine has a slight edge between the two with two wins in their last four meetings. Both sides have not scored more than two so we'll go with under 2.5 goals.

France vs Switzerland

It’s just impossible not to predict a French win with the quality Le Bleu has across the field. Didier Deschamps has game changers and match winners and so the depth of the French team takes them through.
Switzerland got through as one of the best third-placed teams but they just don't measure up to France.
