Women’s empowerment is one of the most significant conversations in the world today. Through that, a lot of gains have been made, however, in some parts of the world like Bangladesh where young girls and women still face the threat of early marriage. 

To escape this, three girls, Shobe, Aisha and Suma joined a surfing club to enable them to find a different path in life. Their story is told in a film titled ‘Bangla Surf Girls. Yaza South Africa talked to the producer of the film Lalita Krishna.
