Several transfers have already been done since early June but we'll only list the most recent ones. Here are three of those.

Barcelona have finally signed Dutch forward Memphis Depay. He’ll join as a free agent when his contract at French club Lyon expires on June 30. He's the club’s third free transfer after the pair of Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia arrived from Manchester City.

Ashley Young has rejoined Aston Villa as a free agent from Serie A champions Inter Milan whom he permanently signed for in January from Manchester United. This is Villa’s second signing after they acquired Emiliano Buendia from Norwich on a club record fee.

Theo Walcott returns to Southampton permanently from Everton after a loan spell at his boyhood club.

  • Kane, Messi, Grealish, Ramos & Ronaldo rumors

Tottenham’s Harry Kane will be under the microscope after the Euros as his future at Spurs remains uncertain. The player wants out but it’s not clear whether his chairman Daniel Levy will really let him go. And if he does, the fee he’ll command might be astronomical to the point of probably turning off potential suitors.

Will Lionel Messi stays or leaves Barcelona? This still remains uncertain. He’ll be a free agent on June 30 when his contract runs out and is yet to sign an extension.

England midfielder Jack Grealish is being courted by Manchester City and now Chelsea are said to be interested in the Aston Villa man.

Where will Sergio Ramos play next season? It appears that he's not interested in joining Manchester United or City. Roma are said to be interested in the 35-year-old whilst reports indicate that he's opting to join Paris Saint-Germain once his contract lapses on June 30.

Are we about to witness football utopia? Barcelona President Joan Laporta is believed to be planning an ambitious move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Camp Nou. Ronaldo’s future at Juventus is uncertain and he’s been tight-lipped about his next move. Laporta’s dream is probably just that, a dream, but there’s nothing wrong about letting the imagination fly, is there?

Managerial Hunt Continues

  • Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur Chairman Daniel Levy must be having sleepless nights over the agonizingly prolonged and chaotic search for a new manager.

Since the club parted ways with Jose Mourinho in April, before the season even folded, it looks like they are having a hard time finding a suitor. A return of their former boss Mauricio Pochettino has not been ruled out completely amid claims that he is unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain.

Several names have been thrown around. Brendan Rodgers (said he’s not interested), Ajax boss Erik Ten Haag, Ralf Rangnick, Graham Potter, and now ex-Roma boss Paulo Fonseca, who’s touted to be in pole position for the job.

  • Everton

The blue side of Merseyside is also experiencing managerial vacancy. The club is yet to make an appointment after the unexpected departure of their Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti who re-joined Real Madrid. Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is in consideration much to the annoyance of some Toffee fans. Other names linked with the job are Nuno Espirito Santo, Eddie Howe, Antonio Conte and Frank Lampard.

  • Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace are also without a manager after 75 years old Roy Hodgson left. Club chairman Steve Parish is still in the market for a replacement. Plenty of names are doing the rounds so is he spoilt for choice?

It’s understood that he’d like to move away from the safety-first football approach to something more fluid and elegant. Former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre can deliver that, as well as Nuno Espirito Santo. Scott Parker has caught the eye despite Fulham’s relegation. Sean Dyche, Frank Lampard, Eddie Howe plus many more names have been linked to the job.
