A new young and unique African sneaker brand has just hit the streets and we’ve got the plug. Tau Sport, which officially launched at midnight yesterday, is the result of an idea that started during lockdown last year and grew into the creation of a new brand of trendy sneakers.

The brand’s signature slogan “Fear Fokol”, which you will see inscribed on the shoes and on their packaging, speaks to a sense of fearlessness and determination the brand represents. These shoes are for the fearless trendsetter who is as comfortable ekasi as they are in the city or the suburbs.

Tau Sport sneakers are authentically African and perfect for when you want to look good out on these streets. The sneakers have a futuristic-looking design and come in four uniquely named colour schemes: John Wick, Nandipha, The Ark, Shockwave Red and Atomic Mamba.

The sneaker sizes range from four to eleven and they retail for R1, 299 a pair. For the moment, the company does not have physical stores, however, the entire range can be purchased from the online store. Each pair will arrive at your doorstep in a luxurious black shoebox with your shoes wrapped up in a free dust bag to keep them looking fresh and new long after you’ve bought them.
