Viewers can't get enough of his acting abilities and amusing antics. Here are some of the reactions:
Speaking to The Citizen recently, he detailed how he prepares to play the much loved character of Nqoba. He said this is one of the most challenging characters to play.

"Firstly, [it’s] because he has been imagined by Sis Dudu Busani-Dube (author) and book fans. It made it a huge challenge to just step into his shoes. Nqoba is a role that made me search deep [into] what he could possibly be in real life. But the amazing team that we have, from our cast to the crew, have inspired my character choices so much. I remember how their reactions to Nqoba on set reassured me how unique this character is," he said.

He said he decided to give Nqoba is own unique voice to accommodate his boisterous personality.

"With the help of wardrobe and seeing how close our voices were as the older brothers. Because we all have very deep voices, I made a conscious decision to give Nqoba his own unique and loud voice. Which would accommodate his loud fashion and crazy personality too. So yes, I would say that I had to breathe new life into this role and I do hope that the audience will appreciate that," he said.

Ever since The Wife Premiered, the show has been leaving viewers enthralled with its captivating storyline and talented characters. It's premiere broke Uthando Lodumo’s record for the most first-day views of all-time on Showmax, as well as Devilsdorp’s record for the most hours watched within four days of launch.

Inspired by Dudu Busani-Dube’s bestseller Hlomu The Wife, the 40-episode first season tells the story of a journalist (Mbalenhle Mavimbela from Skeem Saam) who falls in love with a taxi driver, Mqhele (Bonko Khoza from Neckie Youth), not realising that when you marry a man, you marry his secrets.

The show is produced by Stained Glass, who’ve created SAFTA-winning shows like eHostelaand Ifalakhe as well as Uzalo, South Africa’s most-watched soap opera.

Showmax has commissioned three seasons of 40 episodes each, inspired by Dudu’s books Hlomu the Wife, Zandile the Resolute, and Naledi His Love respectively. The books follow the lives of the eight Zulu brothers, a formidable crime family, through the eyes of the wives they marry.
