Rising star actor Thembinkosi Mthembu shares how he never thought in a million years that he would land a role on the new movie, Shaka Ilembe. Mthembu had his own reservations battling his inner saboteur about being light skinned.

In a short place of time after his TV debut, Thembinkosi Mthembu's trajectory has since skyrocketed. Making his debut on the popular The River, alongside some of TV's legendary actors, Sindi Dlathu, Hlomla Dandala and Ferry Jele, Mthembu has his eyes locked on the prize. He continues to thrive and landing more roles to cement his name in the industry.
Speaking to Sunday World about his role on the much anticipated upcoming Shaka Ilembe the movie. Mthembu shares how he never imagined he would land a role because of his skin complexion.

โGetting a role on the show was a dream come true and I was merely just taking my chances, people had their opinions on how Shaka Zulu was dark in complexion and I was light-skinned.โ reports the publication
Currently his new show on Showmax, Adulting has been receiving much praises and rave reviews. With only few episodes in already, Mthembu is slowly becoming the household brand in the television industry. Although he is fairly new but he has transcended quite a number of people who have been in the industry longer than him.
