Super Mega might be sopping up  another title besides super star. AKA has just been nominated for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award 2019 for Favourite South African Star. Who would've thought that the star would be taking a "W" for a kids show?

AKA has just come out of the Comedy Central oven where he was roasted by his fellow ZAlebs. However, for those who were worried about AKA getting burnt on stage - it looks like he stays cooking up a little something special every time.

King Forbes (new name still pending confirmation), has been nominated in the  Favourite South African Star category alongside actress Nomzamo Mbatha, rugby player Siya Kolisi, cricket player Kagiso Rabada and radio DJ Somizi Mhlongo.

Has the star officially reached global domination status? Not too long ago, AKA tweeted that he has a strong desire for international success and the only thing really stopping him from going across the pond - was merely all in a name.

AKA took to social media to share the news and asked his fans to send through their votes asap.

According to an article on Music In Africa, he was quoted as saying:

“Everyone who knows me will tell you, I am a big kid at heart. So to get a nod from the kids is super special. It says the kids are listening and paying attention and that for me, as a dad, is a huge deal and an honour.”

The timing could not have been better. With the AKA Orchestra on the Square show coming up (Sunday, March 19th), AKA is really building up momentum for a great 2019.

The 32nd Nickelodeon Choice Awards will be held in sunny Los Angeles, California and we're hoping and crossing fingers that AKA, Kiernan, Keenan or King Forbes brings along baby Forbes, Kairo on the trip. After all - Super Mega is for the kids right?

We know this isn't his first rodeo but it's also not his last. And whatever he has up his sleeve, we will be front and centre watching it all unfold.
