South African rap phenomenon, AKA fits the above notion. Many believe that his bold and somewhat arrogant surface is all there is to him but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Like the rest of us, there’s more to AKA than meets the eye. In an interview with SA’s most recognised hip hop magazine, Hype Magazine, the Fela In Versace revealed that he is on a journey of shedding his skin from AKA to Kiernan Forbes (his real name/identity).
Unfortunately, AKA’s legions of fans rarely have the privilege of experiencing the rapper in “Kiernan Forbes mode”, however those closest to him have amazing and positive stories to tell.
One such individual is fellow industry mate and hip hop commentator, Siyabonga Scoop Makhathini. He took to twitter and shared why it is easy for him to love and appreciate AKA.
Not too long ago, fellow rapper and close collaborator, Yanga Chief hinted that one day he will share his story of how much AKA has positively impacted his life.
Some tweeps then corroborated Yanga’s sentiments by stating that they know how much of a cool dude he actually is.
Another celebrity that has nothing but good things to say about AKA, is multi award winning artist, Tresor. For the longest time, he always commended his artistry and how grateful he was for having crossed paths with AKA.
AKA seems to be doing the most behind the scenes. Most of his industry peers having nothing but love for him.
