BET Awards International Nominee Gold Coin recipient and trailblazer Amanda Black’s career is still booming regardless of the hardships she’s experienced in 2018.

The musician has been making major strides since her appearance on Idols SA season 11 and has even become a testimony of hope for those that enter the competition but do not win the title.

Taking to her Instagram timeline, Amanda Black uploaded a video reflecting on having a bad 2018, and while she spoke on being grateful to still be standing, she encouraged her followers to breath despite life's obstacles.

“...2018 was one of the toughest years of my life, almost thought I wouldn’t make it...ok I’m lying, I had to make it, though I felt like I wouldn't make it, I had to make it and I’m here today, I’m still standing and I just wanted to let you will make it, it won’t get any easier but you will find a way to make it and get through. Breath,” she said.

While Amanda Black’s exit from Ambitiouz Entertainment made headlines after Sunday Sun reported that the musician had allegedly filed a lawsuit against the record label in mid-2018, we think this might be why the musician labels 2018 to have been a rollercoaster ride.

Although Amanda Black is grateful for how far she’s come with the record label, she’s ready to own her thrown and take back her crown. The star recently partnered with major record label, Sony Music.

Speaking to Mo Flava in a recent interview on Metro FM, Amanda said that she was looking forward to continuing her career as a musician.

"I just want to continue with my career. I just want to sing that is it. Whatever happens now, I want to come out being able to sing my songs. I want to be able to record and release new music. I want to share what I have. This journey that I am on, I am meant to be on. All the hardships that I am going through right now I understand that they are meant for me. I am supposed to go through them," she said.
Amanda Black’s wish has been granted as she has kicked off a new month in good spirits after releasing a new single “Thanda Ndim” last week.
