ANN7’s SATY Awards put on hold until 2017

SATY Awards

The South African of The Year Awards have been faced with a lot of obstacles this year and unfortunately due to a lot of mishaps the organizers have pushed back the ceremony.

Just when we decided to go shopping for a snazzy outfit for the SATYs, the Gupta’s pull another stunt on us by postponing the show.

The awards were set to take place on the 26 November at The Dome. Jeannie D, Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Queen B were set to host the awards. For entertainment, we were going to be entertained by the likes of international stars JLo and Robin Thicke.

Sources have revealed that the show is in fact postponed to a later date due to unforeseen circumstances. We doubt this has anything to do with the international artists but more to do with the current state of affairs regarding the Gupta family.

Eish, we Don’t know what is going on in the camp but we hope it’s sorted out soon. Jeannie D and Bonang are sure to stun with their gowns , and Jonathan is always welcomed eye-candy!

Just a few weeks ago, political party, EFF, called on all celebrities attending and nominated for the awards to boycott them due to the current state of affairs regarding the Gupta Family.
