Gqom Queen Babes Wodumo has undoubtedly become one of the most sought-after entertainers in Mzanzi. Her stardom has had some haters questioning her role as a pastor’s kid, however, she is certain that she’s received her fathers’ blessing.
Babes Wodumo might be a preacher’s kid, however, she says it has never and will never change the way that she lives or portrays herself. In a recent interview on Afternoon Express, the entertainer opened up about her life, “Babes Wodumo is a girl from the township…who loves God a lot…a person who loves to have a good time, I love having a good time, wherever people are having a good time I follow…”
Reflecting on past incidences, Babes said that she felt that her parents were proud of her as they constantly are boasting about her to the congregation at church.
“If there’s a need for me to be voted for, he [her dad] stands on the pulpit and asks the congregation to vote for me, my dad is full of love, he wears shirts that are written ‘Babes Wodumo’ and says: “Can you see who I look like?”…and he’d say “Do you know Babes Wodumo? I’m her father” So I think they are proud of me“.
