Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the life of the award-winning singer who passed away on Saturday 24 December 2022. The 40-year-old died at Durdoc Hospital in Durban, after suffering a minor stroke.

Babes Wodumo recounted his last days and described what made her strong. The couple was arguably a match made in heaven and, even though their relationship was hampered by cheating scandals and abuse, they never lost interest in each other.

“In his last days he said he loved me. I think that’s why I’m this strong.

“What’s tricky is that he left the world without giving me the pin to his phone. Hai, men. Now I stare at it when calls are coming in, unable to answer,” Babes Wodumo joked.

Tweeps have praised Babes for loving her husband despite all the shenanigans that happened over the course of their marriage.
