Although the past week or so hasn't been the greatest of times for SA's gqom Queen, Babes Wodumo and her boyfriend and rumored manager, Mampintsha, things are bound to turn around now that they have joined the renowned corporate and celebrity public relations and event management company, African Star Communications (ASC).
The company, which recently turned 9-years-old, took to Twitter to announce the news and the reactions have been nothing but positive.
In case you STILL haven't heard, things haven't been going so well for the star whose real name is Bongekile Simelane ever since she burst on to the scene with her smash hit, Wololo.
She has missed performances, her management team has over-booked her and she hasn't been the best person for journalists to interview. No, this is not in reference to her English but rather, the way she conducts herself.
Hopefully, now that she is with ASC, Wodumo's public image will get a much-needed proverbial facelift.
This makes me soooo happy! Thank you ❤ https://t.co/fEwmT2HAkC— MaNcwane 👑 (@Hlelolwenkosy) June 26, 2017
Finally, she is in the hands of one of the best PR teams in SA, well done! https://t.co/Upg2e0U18L— Miss Awesomeness (@NomfaneloDlomo) June 26, 2017

Finally, a proper PR co. She really needed one— Sibabalwe Matiso (@MatisoSiba) June 26, 2017
African Star has previously worked with brands such as Ciroc, Distell and Vuzu for their programme "The Hustle" as well as stars such as Solo, AKA and Big Star Johnson to name a few.
Babes may not have won that BET Award but she's certainly about to win at this life thing and become the gqom powerhouse that we all want her to be.
