You just can't keep a good man down, Black Coffee proves to us once again that you just can't keep a good man down.
No matter how successful he becomes, DJ Black Coffee never forgets where he comes from. The DJ, who was named as one of the most bankable musicians in Africa (by Forbes Africa), has given us more reasons to love him.
The world-renowned DJ has donated R200 000 to his old school, which was used to revamp the computer room.
The Daily Dispatch, a newspaper based in the Eastern Cape, reported that Zimele High school principal, where the DJ was a learner in the late 1980s, approached him to help.
Addressing pupils during assembly, he said: "I think the whole idea, as we grow as a country, as a nation, is to change our circumstances that abantu [people] who are coming behind us don't experience the same things that we experienced. It starts with our families, with our kids, it starts with the schools that we went to. One of the reasons I agreed to do this thing was because I didn't want you guys to experience the thing, I wanted you guys to have better opportunities."
Wow! What a touching speech.
