The prestigious Vodacom Durban July might still take place this year, amidst fears of the current nationwide lockdown. According to The Citizen, organizers of one of the most renowned events in the Mzansi's social calendar, have moved the event to 25 July 2020.

The horse racing event was billed to take place on Saturday 4 July at the Greyville racecourse but it has now been moved to the last Saturday of July.

The event attracts thousands of punters, socialites and celebs across the world. The major concern for this year's race has been racing for the horses because they have lost so much time to do so.

But, the racing administrators have been in contact with the government, to plead for the racing to take place behind close doors, in preparation for the Durban July.
