About a week ago, South Africa’s biggest media personality expressed her excitement (and nervousness) at the fact that she was set to speak at the World Economic Forum Africa currently taking place in Durban. She also shared that her mother, Charlotte Mokoena, would be in the audience.

Matheba took to the stage alongside a number of formidable panelists earlier today to discuss “how to end extreme poverty through educating, employing and empowering Africa’s youth.”

We were under the impression that Matheba was going to be delivering a TED style talk but she actually chaired the panel and lead the discussion using pre-determined talking points.
Hmmm, how much does one get paid for such prestigious speaking engagements?
