Cassper Nyovest is so dope he is known as the Kanye West of South Africa.

The multi-platinum selling artist started rapping at the age of 12 and dropped out of high school when he was 16 to pursue his dreams.

His parents might have bee sceptical at first, but Cassper, who also calls himself Mufasa, proved he had what it took.

Cassper has won countless awards in the past decade, including 'Most Gifted Male' at the 2014 Channel O Awards and 'Best Live Audio Visual Recording' at the 2016 South African Music Awards (SAFTAs) for his 'Fill Up Orlando Stadium' concert.

He has also won several awards at the SA Hip Hop Awards.

Cassper has been praised for using his platform to highlight serious issues in South Africa.

He joined stars such as Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy and BasketMouth in condemning the 2019 xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

In the midst of the wake of the Coronavirus, many are finding challenges on how to keep themselves busy, but Cassper recently found a great idea on how to keep himself busy.

This pandemic has  also seen some of our celebs give back to the community, just like Rihanna who gave a whooping the $88 million towards the fight against the Coronavirus. However, Cassper recently got dragged for not doing the same.

Here's a look at the life of one of SA's greatest rappers.

Cassper Nyovest AMN Album & Baby Khotso

Mufasa has done it again and he did not disappoint as one of the highly anticipated albums in 2020 was delivered. AMN (Any Minute Now) is here

Cassper dropped the album at midnight and it has many on the edge of their seats. The growth and maturity that comes with preparing to become a parent is evident on this project with Cassper sharing his growing pains over classic hip-hop beats mixed with a flair of traditional jazz, kwaito, and even gospel.

Cassper has proven that he can do anything, not only is he a great rapper, he can also fuse different genres such as Amapiano, Kwaito and Gqom influences to his sets and he is a remarkable dancer.

However, it seems what happened to Nasty C's album, "ZMWSP" has also happened to Cassper as well. His album was leaked by Fakaza a day before its release and fans are not pleased at all.

Distraught artists such as DJ Tira, Phil Mphela and Shimza took to Twitter to slam Fakaza.

However, to add on to the great news, the inspiration to his latest music offering and first heir to the Mufasa kingdom, Baby Khotso, was born shortly after the release of his album.

Mufasa Tweeted in excitement as he was seen standing next to a doctor while waiting to go into the delivery room. Cassper then tweeted a few minute later, "This album means sooo much more and it makes sooo much sense now that my son, Khotso is here. #AnyMinuteNow". Mufasa couldn't be more happier.

Cassper Nyovest Sex Tape

Well, no-one definitely saw this coming. A video clip containing material of a sexual nature, which has surfaced on social media, had many shooketh and thinking that their eyes were playing tricks on them as they thought the man who was captured on it, was SA's award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest.

The sex tape featured a man and women, who could be seen engaging in a sexual act. Some were quick to defend the rapper, by saying it is not him.

Cassper took to Twitter to set the record straight and confirmed that it was not him. The musician even joked that the lockdown must come to an end because peeps are doing silly things.

The rapper's response left many in stitches and breathing a sigh of relief that it was not him.

Cassper Nyovest FIFA Match

Cassper who is a big fan of Fifa, has been posting snaps of him playing his favourite games as we are all on lockdown. He limited a series of games to compete with his fellow industry colleagues.

The rapper was pretty confident that he was going to be crowned king and fans couldn't have been more excited to watch the match. The New York based comedian wasted no time in accepting the challenge and all was set.

Well, things didn't turn out so well for Cassper Nyovest because Trevor Noah showed him flames throughout the whole challenge and walked away the winner.

Well, sorry Cassper, clearly you challenged the wrong ZAleb. Better luck next time.

Cassper Nyovest Donation

Right around the world everyone seems to be in panic mode because of the Coronavirus that is spreading rapidly like a wild fire. However, some good souls have managed to give financial donations in the fight against the pandemic. The likes of Rihanna have been generous to give money towards hospitals and food banks as well.

Lockdown or no lockdown, Black Twitter will always be working and sadly for Cassper, this time they came for him. A tweep decided to throw some shade when he related that some celebrities are playing FIFA instead of helping. Definitely directed at Cassper, right!

The SA Rapper was quick to defend himself and his pocket as he stated that he does not have the kind of financial muscle that Rihanna has. Still that was not enough because tweeps dragged him further and said it's not about the amount one donates, but it's all about giving anything you can afford.

You be the judge. Was Cassper right or wrong?
