The world gathered to witness the amazing power of music to bring everyone in unison and help fight the pandemic that has hit the globe.
Rapper Cassper Nyovest was amongst the performers at the #TogetherAtHome concert, an initiative by the Global Citizen, and his set got many fans reliving the Fill-Up days and also brought some to tears with his Harambe performance.
Cass paid homage to the late HHP with his rendition of Harambe. He particularily chose that song as the message it relays is befitting for the cause.
"I had prepared this performance of this classic cause the message in this song is soooo important and fitting. RIP to Jabba! Love you forever!!!!" he tweeted.
Just before he shared snippets of his performance, he shared with fans how the late Jabba helped inspire him to become his own boss. He revealed that the Hip Hop Pantsula did not want to sign him.
"My wish was to sign to HHP but he didn't wanna sign me. I would get angry cause I just wanted to get signed & release an album but he always believed I should be my own boss cause I have a loud mouth and I am too specific with my art. Well, he was right!!! Look now!" he shared.
Encouraging fans to witness the historic event with him as part of the line-up he expressed what the cause was for and how important it is for people to engage to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
