The 23-year-old Shudufhadzo Musida, hails all the way from Ha-Masia in Venda, Limpopo. Judging from comments on Social Media throughout the elimination stages, Shudufhadzo was always the favourite. Her striking beauty, natural bald head and well-informed answers had South Africa in the bag ages ago. Some of her fans have been with her since the beginning when the Miss South Africa 2020 hopefuls were first introduced to us.

"Your MISS SOUTH AFRICA 2020! @abigailmusida She is ready to face her power and embrace her future! #MissSA #MissSA2020 #ShudufhadzoMusida"

Her road to the crown wasn't all roses, however, the Miss SA hopeful found herself being called to fall on Twitter after she allegedly said that she only follows people she knows and is alleged to have removed some of the people she was following. Well, her comments found Shudufhadzo trending for most of the day, with many weighing in on the matter. Many tweeps felt that Shudu shouldn't let the fame get to her head so soon and should rather at least wait for the competition to run its course.

We are glad that we passed all that unnecessary drama and Shudu got what she deserves, even some of our ZAlebs celebrated with the rest of the country. Sho Madjozi who is a firm favourite and Boity were there for their girl.

Shudu has already made it in life and is taking up space already, she was one of the lucky contestants who survived the purging of other Miss South Africa. The Miss SA contestants were dropping like flies and most of them from what is labelled as self-sabotage.

The show was hosted by none other than Nomzamo Mbatha, it was the first time that the South African actress and businesswoman will host Miss SA, although she is no novice to the stage having hosted multiple international events outside of the African continent. A household name not just in South Africa, but on the continent as a whole, Mbatha – who has a BCom accounting degree from the University of Cape Town – moved to Los Angeles last year to expand her international career. She is set to star in the much-anticipated sequel Coming 2 America, alongside Hollywood heavyweights Eddie Murphy, Leslie Jones and Wesley Snipes. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on December 18, 2020.

All we can say is congratulations to the new Miss South Africa, you deserve it!
