Cici’s verdict

Cici

For several months, Busisiwe ‘Cici’ Thwala and 999 record label owner Arthur Mafokate have been in and out of the courthouse and the judge has finally reached a verdict.

After Thwala laid charges against Arthur Mafokate for allegedly dragging her with his car during an argument, Mafokate laid a counter-charge of assault against Cici, claiming that she had hit him with a coat hanger, a steel chair and also that she bit his arm during the argument.

Earlier today, Cici made her way to the Midrand Magistrates Court to hear the court’s final judgement on Mafokate’s assault charges against her and the singer was found not guilty.

Although Mafokate was not present for the ruling, Thwala took to social media to celebrate her victory.

‪”The Law has given me a not guilty verdict…After Months of being defamed and lies being perpetuated I stood my ground and stuck to my truth. This is however just the tip of the iceberg I hope my willingness to stand up for myself encourages others‬ to do the same…Thank you to my family @notinmynamesa and everybody who stood by me” she wrote.
