Reportedly, Thuli Phongolo Withdraws Assault Charges Against DJ Maphorisa

Following his short appearance a the Randburg Magistrates Court

DJ Maphorisa has been released on bail following his short appearance before the Randburg Magistrates Court. Maphorisa was apprehended last night after girlfriend Thuli Phongolo laid assault charges against him.

In a turn of events, DJ Mamphorisa has been granted bail by the Randburg Magistrates Court after spending a night in the holding cell. However, the court also heard that the complaint, Thuli Phongolo has since withdrew her statement and claims of assault against DJ Maphorisa.

According to the Eye Witness News reporter Alpha Mero, the Randburg Magistrates Court told DJ Maphorisa that the bail conditions remains unchanged, until there has been a formal withdrawal of the assault charges against him. 

"Themba “DJ Maphorisa” Sekowe has been granted bail of R4000. It was announced that the complaint, Thuli Phongolo, has issued a withdrawal statement but the Magistrate told the accused that bail conditions remain effective until the charges are officially withdrawn. " wrote EWN Reporter. Alpha Mero
Following the reported argument that resulted to a physical brawl between Phongolo and music producer boyfriend DJ Maphorisa. A case of assault was subsequently laid against DJ Maphorisa at the Sandton Police. Reportedly, shortly after his bail hearing Randburg Magistrates Court, DJ Maphorisa was later released on bail.

By the look of things Thuli Phongolo have since deleted her Instagram account.
