Lawd Phori doesn’t believe in the traditional system of having a panel decide who released better music but rather, he wants the people to decide.

In a follow-up tweet, he revealed that he plans to start his own music awards where he wants the fans to be the ones deciding who gets an award. “I am gonna start SA Online Music Awards where you guys will be the ones nominating and deciding who gets an award.”
Phori does have a valid point. However, to have an industry that grows, we do need to have critics awards. We suppose there is both space for ‘audience only’ awards as well as critics awards.
