Whichever hood you're from, it's always great to hear about how great it is especially from a song which is a crowd favourite.

That's why today we're highlighting the top 5 hits that have always shown love to the hood. So if you're from the hoods mentioned in these songs, show love.

1. Mzambiya - Zola

It's no secret that this particular hood in the South Western Township has had the game on lock for a while. This was confirmed by a then young Mzambiya when he made a whole song dedicated to the township.

2. Tokollo - Ndlov' Yangena

You've seen the Thesis t-shirts with 'Phiri, Mapetla, Zola and Mndeni'. Well, in this summer banger of yesteryear Magesh was giving a shout out to all the hoods that he grew up around, also in the South Western Township.

3. Tzozo & Professor - Woz' eDebhen'

The 2 Umlazi natives were telling people to get their Durban on way before Dreamteam and other artists. Their message was simple: if you want a good time, come to Durban (eMlazi I'm sure because I mean Eyadini and Kwa-Max are the places to be when in Durban.)

4. Riky Rick - Boss Zonke

The Cotton Club head was giving props to two places that were pivotal in making him who he is. KwaMashu nas' eMlazi.

5. Pro Kid - Soweto

So remember when I said the dope ones seem to all come from Soweto? Well, Prokid wrapped that argument up with this song.
