The show that premiered in 2015 is now in its eighth season, It is a bold and authentic narrative that tells the story of two family dynasties, the Mdletshes and the Xulus, and the two young lads who carry their legacy. Dawn Thandeka King

One of the most famous Uzalo actors is Dawn who played Lindiwe Xulu, the wife of the famous gangster Muzi Xulu. Unfortunately she left the show after season seven to pursue other passions.

Shezi

Another one of our fav Uzalo actors is 29yr old Shezi who plays the role of Hleziphi, Njeza’s girlfriend in the show. The notorious couple is arguably the fiercest in Uzalo. Before getting into acting and shaowbiz, Shezi was a professional ballerina - a good one, might we add.

Baby Cele–Maloka

Baby Cele–Maloka is one of the older actors in Uzalo. She is fifty and plays the role of Gabisile Khumalo, a woman who goes missing and gets buried without her body until a girl called Hlelo discovered her in a river, hence Baby's return to the show in season 7.

Nompilo Maphumulo

As one of the founding Uzalo actors, Nompilo has played the role of Nosipho for eight seasons now. She is one of the characters who have grown exceptionally since the show began. The 40yr old has had dramatic relationships with Thulani, Qhabanga, Njeza, Mondli, and Zweli in the series.

Wiseman Mncube

Mncube is a 32yr old man who plays Sbonelo, a notorious womanizer and medic who lives his father's filthy lifestyle. Because of his character in the show, he is undoubtedly one of our fav Uzalo actors.

Nyalleng Thibedi

Since season 3, the 42yr old has played the role of Zekhethelo Mhlongo, a cheating cop.

Simphiwe Majozi

Playing Sbusiso (Sbu), Majozi is the king of thugs and also one of our fav Uzalo actors. The 41yr old is a criminal who enjoys easy money and is in love with Fikile.

Cebolenkosi Mthembu

Detective Nyawo is played by 30yr old Mthembu. His choice of words got him nicknamed Mr. Oxford Dictionary and has made him a fan favorite on Uzalo.

Thuthuka Mthembu

At only 24, she plays Nonkanyiso who works in the salon and is friends with Hleziphi and Fikile. At some point of the series, she married Sibonelo but divorced him later.

Nkanyiso Makhanya

Nkanyiso is a 29yr old who plays Njeza from Season 6. He is an ex-convict jailed for murdering his father and has affairs with his sister's friends. His bad boy character definitely make him one of our fav Uzalo actors.

Thembinkosi Thwala

Thwala (35), plays the role of Mondli Mdlalose, an honest police officer who never gives up on a case.

Masoja Josiah Msiza

Masoja (58), plays Nkunzebomvu Mhlongo, a man with the reputation of jumping from one marriage to another.

Ntombifuthi Dlamini

MamaDlala is played by Dlamini. She started out as a cleaner before becoming a prolific actress in Mzansi.

Uzalo supporting actors

Thobile is played by Nokuthula Mabika
Mastermind Maphumulo is played by Ntokozo Dlamini, a renowned radio and television show host, actor, voice over artist and presenter.
Nkosinathi is played by Sipho Mhlongo, a voiceover artist, radio presenter and actor.
Smangele is played by Sihle Ndaba.
GC, the gay character is done by Khaya Dladla.
Fikile, the devious gold-digger is portrayed by Nelisa Mchunu
