South Africa is quickly becoming a popular African destination for US musical acts looking to extend their tours into Africa. Just this year alone there has already been a number of US popular and legendary acts confirmed already. The list includes:
The tour will kick off in Cape Town on Tuesday, the 31st October 2023 at the Grand Arena, GrandWest followed by Pretoria at the SunBet Arena, Time Square on Thursday, 2nd November in Pretoria concluding in North West at the Superbowl in Sun City on Saturday, the 4th November 2023.
Acclaimed entertainment company G Twenty One Live together with Vertex Events today announced that the multi-Grammy-nominated international artist Tamia will be touring the country with a three-city tour later this year.
Kicking off her South African tour on Tuesday 4th July at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in the Mother City Cape Town, she moves onto KZN on Saturday 7th July performing at the Durban ICC and concludes the tour on Saturday 8th July at the Sunbet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.
Now there is yet another US musical act that South Africans are excited to have been confirmed to be coming this year.
H.E.R coming to SA in December
The newly created three-day musical festival Hey Neighbour is seemingly debuting the upcoming festival on a high note. This is as the festival made headlines immediately after announcing the first confirmed musical act that is set to perform during the festival.
This is as it confirmed that multiple Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, popularly known as H.E.R is the first announced international music act joining the lineup.
The festival is set to take place at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria from Friday, 8 December 2023 to Sunday, 10 December 2023. Tickets are set to go on sale from Friday, 19 May 2023 via TicketPro.
However, ahead of the ticket sales going live, the festival is set to announce yet another act. At this time, it is unclear whether this will be another international act.
However, given that H.E.R was the first act to be confirmed, it seems that the public is excited in their guesses and expectations as to who will be confirmed.
