Personal life
Sibiya was born in Johannesburg, and grew up with her mother and sister. When she was 8 years old, her father was shot and killed in front of them. After her sister and her were sexually assaulted, they left the home where they had been living with an uncle and an aunt. She began studying Musical Studies at Tshwane University of Technology in January 2015. She later received a bursary for the final two years. Then, in 2020, she received an offer to star as “Dr. Mbali Mthethwa,” the main character in the television medical drama telenovela Durban Gen.
