Jamie Foxx was in a dancing mood on Tuesday.
The Django Unchained star showed off some serious moves, including the gwara gwara - a dance started in South Africa by DJ Bongz.
The actor explained the moves were his go-to dance when he was in a good mood.
“I dance like this when.... 1. The caffeine kicks in… 2.the check clears… 3. I Just got threw watching the opening of COMING TO AMERICA.... What y’all got?! caption this! ... while I ice my phuckin hamstring!” he captioned the video.
Jamie seemed proud of his dance skills, but some of his fans thought he was a little stiff.
“No, no, J that’s not how it’s done but hey you get an ‘A’ for effort,” a woman named Lerato wrote.
Another Instagram user wrote: “Next time lean a bit more.”
Jamie’s Coming to America shout-out is also a cause for celebration. The sequel to the 1988 classic stars South Africa’s very own, Nomzamo Mbatha.
The film is expected to follow the footsteps of its predecessor and become a major box office hit.
Eddie Murphy will reprise his role as Akeem – crown prince of Zamunda. James Earl and Aresino Hall are also set to return with a few new additions.
Nomzamo Mbatha described her role as a dream come true.
“From KWAMASHU to the WORLD. My GOD is BIG, LIMITLESS and He is MIGHTY and my angels in heaven are the hardest working team,” she wrote.
“I’m just honored to be a part of this INCREDIBLE AND HUGE classic of a film. It’s going to be a fantastic couple of months in Atlanta telling this story and being surrounded by the most INCREDIBLE collective of actors and living legends... UNREAL. Just... WOW !”
Coming to America is set to hit cinemas in December 2020.
