John Kani T'Chaka

It's a brand new week and news of South Africans achieving the greatest abroad is already making waves. Actor, Director, and Playwright, John Kani, is set to do what he does best (again) in an international movie starring legends of the industry.

The movie we're talking about is the highly anticipated Black Panther film which recently commenced filming and will be released early next year. Did we mention that Lupita Nyongo and Michael B. Jordan will also be part of the movie? This is surely one star-studded movie to look out for.

John Kani's son, who is also well known for his great acting, Atandwa Kani shared an image of the full cast of Marvel's upcoming Black Panther movie on his Instagram page with the caption '@marvel @blackpanthermovie cast: But wait...There's more!

According to a Marvel cinematic universe website/fansiteAtandwa Kani will play the role of a young T'Chaka (the King of the fictional African nation of Wakanda).

There is a reason why John Kani is the co-founder of the Johannesburg's Market Theatre Laboratory - his passion for acting is hard to miss and now it is continuing to be recognized internationally.

This won't be the first time John Kani lands a role abroad, he will actually be reprising his role as the King of Wakanda, a role he first played in Captain America: Civil War and oh boy did he do justice to it! He even went as far as convincing the director to let him speak Xhosa as the official language of Wakanda.

The Kani's are surely about showcasing their talents abroad, Atandwa Kani recently landed a role on the American movie Love By Chance playing alongside Terri Vaughn which will be coming soon.
