Following the recent Radio Monitor Charts with the most played songs on the airwaves currently. Tweeps are up in arms while calling SETE by K.O featuring Young Stunna and Blxckie, as well as AKA's Lemons (Lemonade) not being hip hop songs.
Undeniably, K.O's SETE is currently the most popular and trending song at the moment. However, an argument has come about when the song is being celebrated at number two on Radio Monitor Charts as hip hop songs. According to DJ Clen, both K.O's SETE and Lemons (Lemonade) by AKA are the leader of the pack on the Radio Monitor Charts.
DJ Clen continues to calls this an unprecedented moment of having three hip hop songs on the Radio Monitor Charts. That includes K.O's SETE, AKA's Lemons (Lemonade) as well as his song featuring A-Reece titled Rollin.
"ROLLIN’ NUMBER 29 ON RADIO MONITOR CHARTS. 3rd HIP HOP SONG IF WE’RE COUNTING LEMONADE & SETE. VIRAL!!!! BOOKING FEE WILL SOON MOVE FROM 60K T0 100K" wrote DJ Clen
ROLLIN’ NUMBER 29 ON RADIO MONITOR CHARTS.
3rd HIP HOP SONG IF WE’RE COUNTING LEMONADE & SETE.
Tweeps have called out DJ Clen for clout chasing while inserting that both SETE and Lemons (Lemonade) are not entirely hip hop songs. Although K.O may be a hip hop artist, however, Young Stunna is an amapiano sensation while Blxkcie is a rapper.
Meanwhile both AKA and Nasty C who teamed up on Lemons (Lemonade) are of different range as well as caliber in the hip hop and rap scene. However, Lemons (Lemonade) was giving a different sound than hip hop or rap.
"AKA sound like pop music or afrobeat" wrote Azania Blacks
Both AKA and K.O continues to get the recognition they deserve for their latest hit songs. Both the artists have collaborated eight years ago on a hit single title 'Run Jozi'. it is a true testament that they are both at the top of their game and have not lost their niches.
