Voting for the MTV EMA's opened officially on a few days ago, joining Master KG on the list of artists to get a nod in the category of Best African Act is Master KG, including Burna Boy (Nigeria), Rema (Nigeria), Sheebah (Uganda) and Gaz Mawete (Democratic Republic of Congo).

Nominations for the 2020 MTV EMA finally opened last week and as always, the awards will go to the artists who get the most votes, so it's up to the fans to vote for their favourites on mtvema.com and through social media.
MTV EMA announced that a few days ago on their Twitter account, that Master KG was one of the nominees in the category to signal the opening of the voting rounds.
"Congratulations to @MasterKGsa who have been nominated for the Best African Act Category at the 2020 @mtvema MTV EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS.

Maphorisa has been campaigning on his Twitter account for the past week in order to get votes for their nomination, together wit Kabza De Small.
Monde Twala, the senior vice president and general manager of ViacomCBS Networks Africa had this to say about the award show.
“The 2020 MTV EMAs is one of the biggest entertainment stages in the world and this year’s African nominees are undoubtedly making their presence felt globally. This affirms our commitment to ensuring that we continue to celebrate our diverse talent on international platforms. Congratulations to all our African nominees on this achievement.”
The show will be airing globally on Sunday, November 8, 2020, so get as many votes in for the Scorpion Kings as you can. A lot of Tweeps made sure to cast their votes as much as they can.
