The cat is finally out of the bag and former Scandal! actress Kgomotso Christopher's new role has been revealed. The award-winning actress will be apart of M-Net's upcoming original telenovela Legacy.
Legacy is set to debut in September and features an all-star cast, former Isidingo villain Michelle Botes, Golden Horn Award winner for Best Supporting Actress Mary Anne Barlows, Anton Jeftha and Deon Lotz have been announced as part of the cast.
This is M-Net's first telenovela and viewers can expect mega-rich characters living dysfunctional lives in the award-winning HBO series Succession in a fresh, distinctly South African context.
Jan du Plessis, Director: M-Net Channels says, "Add a daily dose of The Bold and the Beautiful, colour the concoction with pure escapism in the topical and aspirational style of the best Brazilian telenovelas, and you have Legacy in a nutshell.”
Legacy is the brainchild of Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon from Tshedza Pictures, who brought Mzansi the award-winning The River.
Kgomotso has been dropping hints on social media about being back on set and now we all know what she has been working on, now all viewers want is September to get here.
The actress will portray the role of Dineo, the wife of Sebastian Price who has built an upmarket investment empire and is getting ready to retire and a family member has to take his position, but who will it be?
