Recently, he has landed gig after gig and one would not believe that he was once jobless after leaving Uzalo where he played GC. In addition to acting, the actor co-hosts a drive show on Gagasi FM in Durban. He is also an actor on House of Zwide and his career has captured the hearts of many viewers.

According to Isolezwe the openly gay media personality is set to host Mzansi's favourite wedding show, Our Perfect Wedding.

The show airs every Saturday night at 19:00 on Mzansi Magic and follows couples as they embark on their wedding journey. A source close to the publication said Khaya is lucky because he was not expecting to land this lifetime gig.

"Khaya is very lucky to get an opportunity like this, in the program and for him it is history as it was an opportunity he did not expect but it presented itself and he grabbed it with both hands.

"He posted a video on his social media, showing himself filming," said the source.

Upon being asked for a comment by the publication, Khaya refused to disclose the name of the show he's working on due to contractual agreements. "You know the conditions of the contracts given to us do not allow us to announce before it is too late but soon people will know," said Khaya.

Khaya has also been vocal about Uzalo sidelining him. ZAlebs reported two years ago that Uzalo did GC dirty, but he still hadn't been told he was leaving the show after the show ended. As a fan favourite, he was reduced to being a call actor for when the show needed him

He recently spoke to Isolezwe, where he said when he returned to the show he was not informed how long he was going to stay with Nokuthula Mabika.

"When we returned to Uzalo, they did not inform us (he and Nokuthula Mabika) how long we were going to stay with show. Other cast members knew they were only going to be with the show for a few weeks then their contracts lapse.

"That is why when the opportunity aroused for me to join House Of Zwide, I could not turn it down because I know how long I am contracted to stay with them which years to come," he explained.
