Acclaimed South African singer and songwriter Khaya Mthethwa has been given his flowers following the release of his long-awaited album, "Art & Worship."

Tweeps cannot stop singing his praises for his incredible voice and for reviving gospel music in the country after the release of his 13-track album on Friday 14 October.
The album comes after his 2018 album, All About Jesus which was a major success. Taking to his Facebook account Khaya said he does not need awards to validate his hard work.
"I've worked hard over the years. Proved myself and really done what resonates with my heart and purpose to worry or be validated by awards. I am too old," he captioned a post.

Speaking to Drum, Khaya said he hopes the album will resonate with other people who are going through similar experiences. “I am hoping that I am not just telling my story but that I get to echo what is happening in other people’s lives. As a worship leader, you have to be in tune with everyone’s heart around you,” said Mthethwa. Tweeps continue to give him his flowers.
