Who is Khosi Ngema’s father?
The Blood & Water actress was born into a family of creatives and long before she was born, her father had already marked his territory in the acting industry.
Khosi Ngema’s father is a veteran actor called Mangaliso Ngema. He was born in Orlando West, Soweto, South Africa, and has been in the acting since the early 1990s.
He is known for his roles in popular films and television series including Generations, Vehicle 19, Mary and Martha, Lithapo, and Family Secrets.
In June 2022, Mangaliso Ngema found faced negative publicity after his cousin- Queen Ngema publicly accused him of using black magic on her and raping her between 2009 and 2010 when hes hosted her after she lost her son in an accident.
Mangaliso denied the rape allegations and claimed that his cousin was suffering from a mental illness. Following the rape allegations, the actor was arrested and spent two nights at a holding cell before he was released on a R5000 bail.

Khosi Ngema’s mother is Busisiwe Ngema, not much is known about her as she is not in the limelight and she is also a relatively private person although Khosi revealed that her mother is very supportive of her career.
The actress is the second born in a family of five children. Her siblings are Swazi Ngema, Unathi Ngema, Busani Ngema, and Mpande Ngema.
She is also cousins with popular singer and television personality- Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema and is the granddaughter of the late Patience Nomkhosi who was a singer and songwriter.
Khosi Ngema’s background and education
Khosi Ngema was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng on the 2nd of November 2000 and is 22 years old as of December 2022.
She got her primary and secondary education in schools in Johannesburg before proceeding to an unnamed college in Johannesburg.
Khosi Ngema’s acting career
Growing up, Khosi Ngema’s dream was to become a successful actress. She however started her career as a model and a songwriter before she finally landed her breakout role as Fikile on Blood & Water in 2020.
The hit drama series which released its third season in 2022 is a top-grossing Netflix original show that stars other young actors and actresses including Ama Qamata, Thabang Molaba, Natasha Thahane, and Cindy Mahlangu.
She has not had other roles yet but she has received lots of praise for her role on Blood & Water including a mention from an American actress- Gabrielle Union.
