Born in 1982 in Mmabatho, North West Province, Khuli Chana realized his gift in rapping at a very young age and nurtured it.
He was part of a rap group called Morafe. The group gained national recognition in 2005 after releasing their album Maru A Pula (The Anticipation.)
The group took a break and Khuli Chana launched his solo music career. In 2009, he released his album The Motswakoriginator which was a great success and ushered him into the world of international fame.
