King Monada Real Name
King Monada's real name is Khutso Steven Kgatle.
He is a Khelobedu singer who was inspired by other Limpopo artists to sing in his native language.
"Khelobedu is a language I started with. On the other side, I was inspired by artists who were using their own languages, artists like Penny Penny and Candy," he told eNCA in an interview in 2018.
His stage name King Monada comes from his fans.
"This name King Monada comes from my fans, from the people. I got the name before I started making music. Before I could produce, before I could sing, I was a dancer. People gave me different nicknames, but the one that became popular was Monada," he said.

King Monada Age
Monada was born in Ga-Lekhotho, Tzaneen in Limpopo. He celebrates his birthday on 25 November. He was born in 1992. He is 26-years-old.
His mom's name is Thandi Matlala and she works at Ok Mini Market in Tzaneen. Monada's father is the late Elvis Kgatla.
Monada is not the only child. He has elder brothers - Lucky and Michael and two other siblings.
He attended the Sebone Primary School and Magoza High School.
The singer dropped out in Grade 8 to pursue music.

King Monada owns his own music label - King Monada music. He is an independent artist and says he hopes his label will produce some of the best artists from Limpopo.
"I'm in my own company. I do things independently with King Monada music. So, I want to have artists under my company, King Monada music. Limpopo doesn't have a big record label. So, we want to push a record label," he told Leihlo la Sechaba.

Ska Bhora Moreki was released in 2016 and was a massive hit on radio stations. It is a song that speaks about not annoying the person who is paying the bill, just because you don't have money.
Monada says the song was inspired by the times he used to perform in taverns.
" I am the kind of person who usually sits down with fans before and after shows. I sit down with them and communicate with them. So, I actually got Ska Bora Moreki from my fans," he told eNCA.
He says one time when he was in a tavern, he sat next to two people arguing about who must buy alcohol that evening, and their argument inspired him to write the song.
Malwedhe was released in 2018. The song speaks about heartbreak.
The song's lyrics, which are in Khelobedu translate to: "I have an illness. When you date me, don't play about dumping me. I am susceptible/likely to faint. If you cheat, I will faint. If you don't give me money, I will faint. If you don't come home, I will faint. If you switch off your phone, I faint".
It took over the world and inspired the Idibala challenge, which saw people acting like they are fainting. The song trended as thousands of people from all over the world posted videos of them partaking in the challenge. It even opened doors for him to perform in the UK and Europe.
Monada says although the song is about heartbreak, he did not suffer any heartbreak. He was singing based on other people's experiences.
In 2019, he released his latest single called Benz. The song features CK The Dj and Charmza and is a massive hit in South Africa.

Monada owns a fleet of German cars. His cars include a C63 AMG Merc, CLK 350 Merc, Viano Marc and a BMW M4 sedan.

Monada is a proud father of two. He is the father to Temoso who is 8, and a baby boy named Junior.
King Monada Cassper Nyovest Show
The Malwedhe hitmaker was invited to perform at Cassper Nyovest's Moses Mabhida's concert but failed to pitch.
He wrote on Instagram that he had difficulties checking in on the flight that he was booked.
His manager Albert Makwela, explained that there had been mix up with the surnames, and that resulted in the flight taking off before the matter was resolved.
King Monada Wife/ Girlfriend
The Malwedhe hitmaker is married to Lerato Ramawela, and in another relationship with fiance Cynthia Ntebatse Lion.
King Monada recently surprised Cynthia with a VW Polo.

Monada has won several awards.
He recently won the Best Male Artist at the Limpopo Music Awards (Limo), while his hit song Malwedhe won Song of the Year.
In 2018, he won three awards at the Limpopo Music Awards. Monada walked away with awards for - Best Khelobedu single, Song of the year, and Best duo/Group collaboration.
